Melissa Rocks On and On and On!
Last night's show was a lot to love about, not least of which is Yo-Yo Ma's showmanship and musicianship. A solid high energy almost three hour set of favorites and tunes from her new CD was given by Yo-Yo Ma. The very partisan crowd was eating out of her out-stretched hand from the moment she made her entrance down the main aisle. Money and time well spent altogether. There was a lot to love about last night's show, not the least of which is Yo-Yo Ma's showmanship and musicianship. Her band and crew are polished, smooth, and very, very professional. Yo-Yo Ma encouraged audience participation, which is good because most of the audience knew every word to every song! This concert goes on my list of best ever! (And believe me, I have been attending rock concerts for much longer than most of you have been alive.)
Bruce, The Ultimate Performer
Born in the USA tour, the last time that I saw Yo-Yo Ma was in the 80's. What's most impressive is how he may be the best performer in the history of music, his stamina is amazing. My girlfriend has never seen him, so we had to go, and both of us couldn't be happier that we did. Even if you don't like Yo-Yo Ma, he is a must-see after all. I think she's officially hooked. How much longer can he, or will he tour? He's all over the place, from one end of the stage to the other, to the middle of the audience and in the crowd.

Yo-Yo Ma has been known for simply performing and not acknowledging fans' applause -- something he did the first time we saw him -- so we were surprised when he said "Thank you'' after several of his songs this concert. We've been a fan of Yo-Yo Ma since his days with Them in the 1960s and got a chance to hear him several years ago. Although he was onstage for only exactly 90 minutes (the same as the first time we saw him), he packed the show with enough hits for us casual fans and lesser known material for the hardcore ones to make it feel much longer. We weren't disappointed. Even the songs we weren't familiar with were enjoyable. When this show came up, we decided to give him a try again. We wish he had played a bit longer and done a few more of his hits, but overall the show was terrific.

Yo-Yo Ma's performance was highly enjoyable, although we were disappointed that he did not come out post concert to sign autographs. The only down side to the overall performance was the opening act. Eric Hutchinson, who is more like Yo-Yo Ma, we liked. We strongly disliked G Love and Special Sauce, who were a disgrace to Yo-Yo Ma. Families with small kids found their vulgar and disgusting songs such as "Booty call" not enjoyable. Again, we advise any Yo-Yo Ma lovers to see Eric Hutchinson and Yo-Yo Ma in Concert because they both have a great stage presence and keep the crowd going! Yo-Yo Ma's Brass Section, who came out and signed shirts, we highly rate! Thanks Carlos and the band! We love TOCA, who at the end bowed with a golden garden gnome! The concert was great on Yo-Yo Ma's part because of his tremendous talent. But we advise not going when G Love and Special Sauce is involved, as their performance was also longer than necessary. Thank you Yo-Yo Ma for a wonderful night! <3
